Hi guys, if anyone still posts in here, need your help. I love my Signal almost as much as my kids
and have modded it to include my Wingman scissors. Problem is I lost the black-oxide pivot bolt that goes on the tool end. It's the button-head with Torx security, not one of the larger ones with flat heads on the plier side.
Some of these bolts are sold on eBay for ~$30, which I can't justify for a small bolt. Right now, I'm using a stainless-steel bolt from the Wingman - those threads fit the Signal barrel nut, though the head has a larger dome. It just doesn't look right.
So my question is, how do I find the specs for a replacement bolt? Leatherman doesn't sell them, and the big stores don't carry them. (I've brought in the barrel nut to try the fitment, but they only they have #4, #6, 8, etc.). I don't have a caliper measure. I can get the length and width with a ruler (and a serious pair of reading glasses), but I'm hoping there's a relatively straightforward way to measure the pitch/thread spacing so I can be sure I'm ordering the right one.
Thanks for any input.
