Is it possible to swap the scales on an Outrider  (which has the side lock) for a set of scales that have a pocket clip, ie can l ignore the knife blade lock?

A future mod l am considering is replacing the current knife blade for one of the one handed opening ones. Has anyone else done this before?

Yes, if you remove the unlocking button and its spring it will work without lock. Like it's not the same pin diameter between side lock and liner lock you'll have to check the bushings are the same.

Usually springs are different for OH blade, it needs to replace both blade and spring on liner lock but on side lock not sure it's possible with the different pin sizes.
