Badge question
on: December 31, 2016, 02:36:08 PM
Will someone please explain this badge thing to me. I tried reading the stickies. But I'm still confused.
Is it simply carrying a specific tool for a whole month and documenting it with pics in a thread?
If so, how do you determine what is a badge worthy tool?
Let's say I wanted to do a pioneer x badge. Do I just simply post a thread stating that I'm going it.  And then post there everyday?
Can I carry another too/ knife with it or does it have to be a solo carry?
Can you do Multiple badges at the same time?

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you go to the PROFILE link at the top of the page, then select AWARDS and SHOW AWARDS you will see the badge list.  There should be a decent set of instructions telling you how to get each one.

It doesn't have to be solo carry, and you absolutely can try to obtain multiple badges at a time, just be sure they are simple enough for one of our overworked moderators to verify easily enough- ie, don't post something in the middle of a 700 post thread, then link to the first page and say "it's in there."

The more badges, the merrier!  :D

Some badges are easier to get than others :tu:

Some require only a pic or two and you have a badge :o and some of the harder ones require pics everyday for a month :ahhh

Really it isn't as hard as it sounds but remembering to post a pic everyday does get harder sometimes if you are say busy on a weekend and totally forget

I would go for a few of the easier ones to get started and go from there :tu:

I was going my to try and carry my new Pioneer X everyday day for the month. Figured there was a badge of some sort that was t would fit into but I do not see one of the sort.
So I figure I'm going to just create a thread with my own personal challenge and if one of the mods sees that it fits  into a badge worthy category they can let me know.
