What they said in video format.

edit: You could also use a sock as a filter or some other form of underwear for more complex notes.
And the underwear may allready be brown-ish, so no loss there!

Finally a gentleman with good taste, that comprehends that coffee is more than some murky water. It requires character!!!

I do agree that coffee should be black, right up until the point I pour smurfloads of milk in it. How people can drink it black is beyond me.

Anyway, I've just cooked up a brew to give it a whirl. I used one on my small camping pots on the stove, cooked it up in the pot with sugar, and poured it into a large mug already laden with milk. It's a bit of a palaver when you're used to making tea with a teabag in a mug, but it worked out quite well for a first effort. I might tweak the method slightly next time, but it's heading for the gullet and not down the drain, so I reckon that makes it a success

You mention a very important point, IF you drink milk, the secret to good coffee is adding coffee to the mild as you describe.

Few years ago I was on a quest to loose weight, started cutting back on sugar and with great effort had mild in my coffee only once a day.

Very quickly got to the point where I could stomach the coffee with mild anymore!

What I learned in the process is coffee is not just coffee, once you take it pure you'll find out what types and roast you prefer.

The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
