Only the other day I thought about having a clean out. I've only just seen this thread maybe it's time.

Voted Yes.

I thought that your voting privileges were suspended until you stopped making your dog wear a SAK costume.     Maybe that was someone else.

At an esimated 300+ , or so knives,  I can  answer ..... YES, but that's just my view after collecting / hoarding
for about 50 years

I am sure that others may have a thousand or more, but I am now peronally saturated

I think I would appreciate my collection more if it was pared down to around 100 , or less

Time to go thru them and one by one, handling them to see which ones still make you happy.  Be sure to post pics too  :D
Wow. I'd be amazed to see a collection that size. You mind if I ask what your favorite knife in your collection is?

Kaput

Good question

I could not  name one favorite as the collection/hoard has a number of different categories
Fixed
Vintage
Traditional slip joint
Modern
Lockback
Assisted open
Automatic open
Utility (SAK like)
Keychain carry
And anything I can't think of at the moment

But, that said,  lately I have been carrying a SAK Tinker and a Kershaw Leek ( subject to change)

With age, I find the switching of daily carry, has slowed down, thankfully

Regards

I should get double votes because I'm willing to go the extra mile for MTO. She loves that costume - makes her feel useful.

From a user's perspective, even with speSmurfpillsed needs, yes.

From a collector's standpoint, may the powers that be help you  :ahhh

I voted yes.

When I was a chef I carried my tools ( Knives ) in a knife roll within a backpack.  I had and still have quite a few to choose from yet as I did then and do now I have my favorites.  When we have less options we tend to make the tool in hand work.  I like a nice paring knife and 8-10 inch chefs knife for everyday use.  I also like to have a thin fillet knife as well.  I can and did manage well with just those 3.
