So....

SOG Reactor has 19 bids and is currently up to $26 in roughly 24 hours.

SOG PowerPlay has 1 bid and is up to $.99 in the same period.

The PST is still at the $7 that Derek bumped it up to yesterday.

Still not looking great for the PST since it has less than 18 hours left!  :ahhh

You should have done like most sellers and add words like rare or hard to find out of production model :D

It might do better if you add more pictures of the PST and the sheath and lose the pics of the Gerbers, I have found that items do better when there are lots of good detailed pictures. It also seems like a fair BIN price and low or free shipping works well for multitools in general unless they are a rare model then auction is the way to go.

It was just a fun experiment- no big deal if it sells or not.

:D

I can't see me becoming a hardcore eBay seller-it seems like too much effort really.

Just to finish this off, the PST closed out at $9.50 and didn't sell because it didn't meet the reserve price I had the sense to put on it.

C'est la vie, non?

Maybe your lack of shipping options affected that?

But because you didn't list the US, that's why it never showed up for me on eBay's US site.

That'd odd.  I had it listed as worldwide and one of the MP600's, listed the same way is on its way to Barcelona.

Wouldnt that be the same issue as trying to sell a SAK on ebay.  They thing europeans should be allowed to buy anything sharp even though amazon UK is fine with it.

And yes Id be much more excited about a brand new PST then a gerber too.  I only have one PST and its brand new so someday I need to pick up a spare to play with.

no it would not ship to Greece, Cyprus etc...

The only European country with a ban on buying knives from eBay is the UK. The rest are fine with it.

Maybe I set it up incorrectly then. I have no idea, but if anyone in Greece would like it, it is also on sale here on the forum!  :P

I don't think he is a forum member, but I did ensure that there were MTO watermarks on the photos I used on eBay and included an MTO sticker in the package, so who knows  :D

I think I'm done with eBay.  I had my fun and now I'm dealing with an unreasonable buyer and frankly, it isn't worth it with the fees I'm paying for the privilege of listening to people whine and complain about their own inability to read.

Good thing I wasn't planning on continuing with eBay anyway.  :P

No big deal.  He just wants tracking info for a package that wasn't tracked.  It said plainly in the auction that the listed shipping cost was for no tracking or insurance and that if he wanted either of those he should contact me for a quote.

Just a bit of an annoyance that he is threatening to lodge a complaint with eBay over it, but as I am not an eBay seller I don't really care if I get bad feedback over it.  I am just hoping that eBay will see that him asking for tracking info for something that he didn't opt for tracking on is his fault and not ding me for any money.

Hell, I even sent him the link to Canada Post so he can check prices for himself.

Unless you can provide proof of delivery ebay will probably side with the buyer and give him his money back (out of your a/c).  Because of this it is (financially) safer for sellers to only give shipping options that include proof of delivery (ie signature required, or tracking - both of which increase shipping costs).

Ya if you sell on ebay you have to ship tracked for seller protection.  This is why I have my listing for north America only unfortunately.  I had it worldwide the and a package went missing to Russia and I had to refund.  So after that it wasn't worth the hassle.   Ebay fees have gone up a lot which is why I just have a single model there as kind of an impulse buy option.  When I price I keep in mind I'm losing 10% off the top.

International tracked is way too expensive but I can ship a sak tracked in North America for 15.
