Greetings from Norway!
« on: January 23, 2017, 10:42:14 PM »
Hi there!

I'm a close-to-40 father of three from Norway. When I'm not geeking out over the latest hobby I work in IT (unix sysadmin/coder).

I got my first multitool, a Leatherman PST, in the early 90's and added a few SAKs and a couple of Gerbers over the years. I stumbled into this forum while researching what knife to buy for one of my kids, who is a boy scout. I really valued my Leatherman while serving the compulsory military service, and I wanted a Leatherman for him as well. The Edge seemed a tad too childish for my tastes, so we ended up with a Wave for him. But for me.. Well, I get easily hooked, and this forum is brimming with knowledge! I bought a Wave and a Style CS, while a Squirt PS4 and a couple of small SAKs are on their way. I have SAK Manager and Minichamp on the todo-list as well, and I guess I'll manage to find a "need" for more LM too :D

The collection so far. Not too keen on adding more Gerbers to be honest. The Diesel has a broken blade lock, and the Artifact kept stabbing my thigh. The MP600 Cable Cutter is decent though, but nowhere near the quality of the Leathermans.

C'ya around! Let's see how deep this rabbit hole goes - before my wife takes away my money :D
