Help me pick a knife I don't need :ahhh
on: January 26, 2017, 07:27:53 AM
Im starting to feel like I need a new knife. Although the ones I have cut just fine  ;) I'm thinking I'd like a second Benchmade. I have been so satisfied with the one I currently have, and I truly appreciate their designs and functionality.

Which one should I get? Or is there one I'm overlooking, that I have to have?! :ahhh

Mini Onslaught

940

Crooked river

I would be glad to trade them for some discontinued cold steel knives.

Never seen the wood bolstered 940. I'd go with that one

I know. It kinda makes the decision process easy/hard. Easy because anyone I get would be great... and hard because I don't have enough money for all of them...

Def wouldn't go with the one with the Spyderco patent rip-off hole in blade.........
I kinda always wanted a Green 940 .......................
And would not mind tryin a Crooked River out in hand, to see what its all 'bout, as it does LOOK cool , IMPO........................  :tu:

I just don't feel the paramilitary rivals or comes close to a similar sense of overall design aesthetics that the benchmades do, even after 11 deep breaths  :D:-\ imo... Just really nothing grabs me about the pm2 blade shape either, and the handle seems too flat and not contoured at all etc. Nice knife tho

And I'm an Oregonian, so I take pride in local businesses and craftsmanship  :salute:

Plus I just can't stand that tick logo, it really bugs me (get it, BUGS me  :D ), no seriously, I just can't do it...  :sa:

I have been just awed  by my Knifeworks-exclusive 710-1401. It's a 710 with sculpted black-and-blue G10 and M390 steel, currently running $179. Ticks all the right boxes for me. It is discontinued, so it might be gone soon.

It looks like a fun knife and really a nice piece to look at that's for sure. I may be leaning this way. But it's too easy to keep going back and forth with these knives.  :o
