Anyone know why 111mm models don't have an option for plus scales and don't have a pin slot? Feels odd to have to sacrifice those features for a bigger and better (IMO) blade.

On a similar note does anyone have any ideas to make the 111mm scales more grippy but still retaining the T&T?

I can't imagine that it gets better over time...

Thanks...it is work in progress for sure. And so many variations which makes it fun. I would love to do the military ones but they are far and few

I know what you mean. Sometimes they multiply until you can’t find them anymore.

The Trekker you see is the one I use frequently. I have a couple more (all new in boxes), but somehow I just can’t seem to locate them.

Just arrive today - Forester Wood.

This cost me an arm and a leg, but I’m enjoying it for the moment.  It has a nice and solid feel.

Ok, so I need your help on this one! I have found a 111mm with a shackle key and a wood saw! The box is marked 0.9073. I had looked at SAK Wiki and can not find anything. Thanks in advance.

Jacky with Victorinox said it is an early variation of the Skipper. It was never available in the USA. Was discontinued years ago.
And know we know!

This is a Victorinox Hercules, which I seldom see mentioned in this forum.  IMHO, the tools combination is quite good.

For this particular model, the linear lock is released from depressing a locking plate on one of the layers, and not from the release switch built on the scales for some of the models I have seen.

Best, Firetower

I don't have a Hercules but I think it has one of the best tool sets for a 111mm. I gave it a nod on the "if you only had one tool ..." thread.  I'd get one.  :tu:

Visit from the store this morning to picking up the 3 111mm I had him hold. An Europen early variation Skipper with the woodsaw, a Mariner and an Adventurer.
