PST refurb

Found an early 90s PST on eBay

Sanded out engraving and polished it using a jewelers rouge and cape cod clothes

***anyone know where I can get new screws?

That looks great, nice job!  :tu:

I don't know a source for those screws since they're not being produced anymore.  Other than looking for another PST, maybe one with a broken blade or something, that would be cheap but not worn out.

I go with eddie and say you will probably have to find another PST that has good screws even if it is otherwise a wreck :D

The screws look fine in the pic :think: Did they get messed up in the refurb process?

No. They're ok. I tried loosening one side a bit because the pliers are very tight and it scratched it a bit, but nothing that hinders the operation. I'm just trying to get a stock pile going.

Almost essential if you want to work with those knurled screws.  Once you get at least 5 posts, you could PM loki-mobile (who posted the thread) and buy a set of those wrenches from him. :cheers:
