Greetings from Bulgaria
on: February 01, 2017, 02:00:15 PM
Hello fellow MTO members,

I've been watching the forum for quite a while and started posting only recently. I've been interested in tools, gadgets, photography and technology in general for as long as I can remember. I also like to travel, go trekking and camping.

Currently I'm into all things SAK, mostly Victorinox. I even hooked my cousin on it and most of our friends got one model or another for their birthdays in the past year. It goes without saying that everyone loved them.

My first MT was a Chinese copy of a Huntsman. It was probably 20 years ago. Learned slip joint knife safety the hard way with it. Later I received a Spartan as a gift and it has been with me for the past 12 years, at least. I'm currently EDC-ing a Classic SD Alox and plan on expanding my collection in the years to come.

Flashlights are another passion I share with many of you. I like small and sleek ones, not the tactical type. Current members of my collection are Maglite Mini AA LED, Fenix HL23 headlamp and a Nitecore Sens AA (this one is flying back to the manufacturer for a repair). I have several other cheap flashlights and headlamps, but try to pick ones with AA batteries for all the obvious reasons.

Welcome to the forum!  I prefer AA flashlights myself.  Years ago we had a hurricane run through town and knock the power out for a week or so.  Some little Mom & Pop type stores were open afterwards- the old folks could do math to calculate taxes and change, and only accepted cash, but they had 9V, AA, AAA's and a few C cells.  Anyone with one pf those high performance lights that took CR123's or anything else were left in the dark because they had no way to replace them or recharge them.

I don't care how cool a light is if it has no power!
