New models for 2017
on: February 01, 2017, 05:28:18 PM
Hi, All!

Just got a "Marketing Calender 2017_No. 1" from Victorinox local dealer
There are a lot of interesting and absolutely new (I hope) models:
  • Cyber Tool M Carbon;
  • Forester Hardwood;
  • Spartan PS (tools with BO) - two variations;
  • several (3?) Alox Bladeless with flash-drive USB 3.0/3.1;
  • Classic LE 2017;
  • Alox LE 2017;
  • Damast LE 2017 (model isn't defined yet);
  • Pioneer Nespresso Livanto;
  • book "Swiss Army Knife" (I don't know is it new edition or new book);
  • Hunter Pro Alox ( :drink: );
  • new model WineMaster (???);
  • "White Christmas LE 2017";
  • Huntsman "Year of the Dog".
Sounds great, isn't it?  :like:

Kinda boring. I could see myself with a hardwood Forester or carbon Cybertool, if I have extra money to spend. I'm not a fan of the Hunter Pro, but I could try it again if they got rid of the blade play. But nothing is really ground breaking. The Spartan PS looks like the cracked ice series which was so expensive.

Thanks for sharing! :cheers:
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

What does "Workman range with liner lock system" mean?
The picture with it appears to be a wood scaled forester.
If you look at the 2003 catalog pages on SAKwiki, the Outrider, Hercules, and Workchamp are in a category called "Pocket Tools with Locking Blade for Workmen"

Maybe they're implying the wood scales will be available across the 111mm range?  Just a guess.

Really nice and subdued shade of green on that alox. Sadly the X isn't included in the holy trinity.

The Nespresso Alox Pioneer is kinda interesting.
Each knife had scales made out of recycled aluminium from Nespresso cups.

It has a engraving/laser etch on the blade

And a Nespresso logo on the back.

I had a hard time finfing it online, but the price is around €38,- ex shipping.

XAVT is re-introduced, I don't think they've made it for a few years

Hmm. Either would be nice; hope the scales allow for the toothpick and tweezers...

I'm hoping for a 5+ layer, but I think I'm going to have to wait

It will be hard to top last year, but a 58mm would be cool, a Classic or Rambler.

A SwissChamp or a CT41 would be nice too!  :tu:
