The Nespresso Alox Pioneer is kinda interesting.
Each knife had scales made out of recycled aluminium from Nespresso cups.

It has a engraving/laser etch on the blade
(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)
And a Nespresso logo on the back.

I had a hard time finfing it online, but the price is around €38,- ex shipping.

Hi- can you let me know where you have found these online?  Really want to pick one up

G10 scales, get rid of cellidor.

Are you mad??  :twak:
Get rid of cellidor?? I understand people like a lot of different scales and scale material, but for me and some others red cellidor scales are the very definition of a Victorinox Sak.  ;)
 :climber:

I buy SAKs for a lot of reasons. Tradition is indeed one of them. The shiny red cellidor is undeniably pleasing, but a SAK is also a tool, and being a tool, it has to evolve. They dropped the can-key slot because there was no use for it anymore, they dropped the older versions of the can opener, they dropped the removable pen for 58mm models in favor of the push-down version, etc.

Replacing cellidor with a more modern material that is more durable is not an unreasonable concept.

I understand your point, and agree to some extent, but they offer so many scale options already that actually replacing it permanently would be a bit unnecessary. Cellidor is a cheap and easy to work with and durable material if treated with care, and easy to replace. I just don't see they changing it with a more expensive material, they had nylon which was tougher and don't have it anymore.
If they could make scales in a tougher material that looked like traditional cellidor at the same price, now that would be great.

I think there is a lot more important evolutions and updates they can make other than scale materials, mainly in tools (updates and develop new ones)

I think they should find an alternative, keeping the looks but upgrading the toughness of the scales. This one below happened today  :-[:

it fell from 4ft into the pavement,

and it's the fourth SAK that suffers this in my lifetime. That's enough times for me to consider an alternative if it were available!

Holly crap!!  :sa:  :o :ahhh

I feel for you mate....

Even more being Plus solid scales... bloody hard to replace...
I feel sometimes maybe the hollow ones can take more if a hit tho, because being hollow they are probably more elastic and less prone to cracking easily, but it really depends on how they fall, a heavy hit in a corner almost always crack's.

But yes, they should really improve the toughness of the material but keep the original looks

Saw the green ones this weekend... nice but I'm not tempted

The air force knives are nice too... looks like 3 of them are Patrouille Suisse (more air show than military) and I see that the last one reads something like no limits... they should add: as long as it is during business hours, else we send the French Air Force :D
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

So, are Swisstools/Spirits with two knife blades discontinued? I think I didn't see those variants listed.

Although the original product calendar images have been taken away by the twunts at Photobucket, I seem to recall that the "winemaster" model was due for release in July.  Has anyone seen one yet?

If you're talking about Marketing Calendar from Victorinox, it's still available here: https://leaf-vics.com/different-documents-from-victorinox
Winemaster wasn't released yet, the same true for the CT Carbon unfortunately.

The Outrider Damast LE 2017 is still available in many stores. Prices vary from € 299 - 450, with an average of € 345-375.
I have the slight impression that this model is not so popular as the previous Damast Limited Editions. Or am I wrong? What are your opinions?

Syph007 commented on the Hunter Pro a few years ago...didn't give it very high marks; in fact didn't seem to like it's design/mfgring at all.
