Was just browsing Victorinox's global site:

https://www.victorinox.com/global/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Medium-Pocket-Knives/c/SAK_MediumPocketKnives#sak-size

Harvester is now called Pioneer 7. Solo is now called Pioneer 1. Is this something new or has been the case for sometime?

Seems, it's a global process of rename. Last year Cybertool series changed their names fom 29, 34, 41 to S, M, L. Looks like the same process for 93mm Alox seried is coming.

Not good...

The Farmer is an entity unto itself.  Not  Pioneer S or 3 or whatever >:(

Here in Germany (and maybe other countries) the Pioneers always had weird and cryptic names. For instance the Harvester has always(?) been Pioneer Series 6... which is a dreary & unhelpful name for a SAK, especially when there's no photo of it, as on this website:

http://www.funktionelles.de/Messer-Tools/Taschenmesser/Victorinox-Pionier-Serie.htm?shop=life&SessionId=&a=catalog&t=31118&c=39270&p=39270

The Electrician and Farmer are exceptions for some reason and are called the Electrician and Farmer, but the others are Pioneer Series 1,2,3 etc.

Funny, the site has no listing for the electrician

Pioneer, Farmer and Pioneer X retains their names...

On the other hand, the site did say that only the popular models are listed on the site... for complete list, consult the catalogue...

In the 2013 and 2015 catalogues I have, the Pioneer, Farmer and Electrician are the only 93mm models with names.  The others were listed as things like "Pocket knife Alox (7 functions)" in the 2015 catalogue, and just model numbers in the 2013 one.

What are the scales on the Damasus I wonder, I hope not the usual nylon/celidor offerings.

Looks like very dark wood to me...

Now all I have to do is find a spare couple of hundred bucks - that 111mm Damascus looks like a winner to me.
I hope they don't make a balls up of the blade like they did with last year's grey X... pretty sure the metal wasn't supposed to be cloudy like that.

Translation: It's an Outrider without korkenzieher - (corkscrew) and Ahl (awl).
God-knows what "epicur Ian" is supposed to be.... some kind of funky wood I guess.

How they managed to mangle the text so badly we'll never know.

Not an Outrider, more like a Nomad or Centurion, unless 3 layers, and definitely has backtools you can see in LeaF's 1st pic. I disagree with whoever wrote that, the pics say different.

The scales look a lot like the ebony LE Climber. That would be my guess.

Hold it...here we go! ( NOTHING LIKE THE FROST WOOD)  :ahhh :multi:

EPICUREAN
http://www.epicureancs.com/about/

Every Epicurean product is 100% made in the USA.
Our History ~
Epicurean was born out of a company making eco-friendly municipal skate parks. The wood composite we used in our ramps is extremely durable and non-porous, but also food safe and dishwasher safe. We started using the excess material to create cutting boards as gifts for family and friends. Demand soared and we began producing and selling a variety of kitchen tools from this wood composite.

I think we have a winner.
And that front page picture shows what the new "wooden" scales for the workman/111mm series looks like
