Getting a bit upset with Swiss Bianco

I ordered a SAK from them Friday. They say USPS Priority Mail 2 day shipping and charged nearly twice what I just paid to ship my Gerber MP600 back to Gerber for repair.

They still have not even shipped the knife out.  I ordered it at 8am Friday.  Now I remember the same thing when I ordered the pocket clip kit for my 111mm Centurion.  Thought it was just a bad one time thing.

I'll never order from them again if they are this slow to ship something out.

Later Friday I ordered two accessories from eBay. They both came today...And the came from California!

When I sell stuff on ebay I do my best to post items as quickly as is humanly possible, but sometimes real life gets in the way. Swiss Bianco is basically a one man operation (as far as I know) so I wouldn't be too harsh on him. Friday is, uh, just the other side of last weekend.... I mean it's not like weeks have drifted by without any reaction on his part.
Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it. You'll get your SAK soon enough.

I guess it's the fact that he's had three days to get it into the mail and has not.

I didn't realize it was a one man operation either...

I slightly agree but not entirely. If +B is such a small operation and cannot get items out on time then do not offer 2 day priority and charge more than necessary for it. Its his fault and no one else's the item is late. My whole thing is don't offer a service unless you know you can follow through on it. Simple as that.

I forgot to add. I have been going through the same thing with Amazon. I am paying for Amazon Prime and they offer free two day shipping. Problem is every item they "guarantee" will arrive in two days never does. Its always 3-4 days. Why shoudl I pay for a service that never "delivers" on their guaranteed delivery dates?

Yep, spent alot of time looking thru his thread on Mod Squad page... He does beautiful work!!!

I'd like a Wenger SI with and added layer of the file and maybe scissors...No more than that. I just wonder if he can do the bail like the original??

I'd agree with this, too.
I'm just used to things taking forever to arrive so if something turns up within a week I'm usually happy about it.
With Amazon I have a different problem - I occasionally want things to arrive slower (like if I know I won't be in for a few days) so I select a slower delivery option - and then they email me with "Good news! We've managed to send your item early!" Nooooooo!

It finally shipped out at about 3:30pm yesterday.  Supposed to be here tomorrow. Stuck in Atlanta, GA right now, according to tracking.

Ordering on Friday, shipping on Monday, that's nothing unusual. All in all, I had to wait 10 days for my Swiss Bianco and it was worth it.

I realize I am spoiled by modern day speedy shipping.  I admit it.

It will be here tomorrow. It is just when a place tell me 2 day shipping, I don't expect it to take 3 days to ship out.

As I stated, ordered some accessories later that day, they came in mail yesterday.  They were not advertised as 2 day shipping.

I swear I was fine with standard delivery times until Amzon spoiled us.  Even tho I don't have prime I've not had to wait long for anything to arrive.

Expedited shipping with the associated charge means the seller puts an extraordinary effort into it.  If that isn't possible, then don't offer it.

If you pay extra for 2-day delivery and it's not delivered in 2 working days, I'd expect a refund of the extra amount you paid over the cheaper shipping option.  If SB is willing to do that then I'd probably say it's fair enough.

The most annoying shipping options I ever dealt with was from a computer parts supplier called Dabs Direct.  At one point they offered next-day, 2-day, 3-day, 4-day and 5-day shipping options, with descending prices.  But the annoying thing was that whatever you chose, it was always sent out by exactly the same next-day courier service.  If you selected 5-day shipping, they just sat on the order for 4 days.  If you selected next-day, you were paying extra for them not to artificially delay your order.

I ordered something from them along time ago and I waited like 4 to 5 days before I sent them an email to ask them what was going on.  I told them that if they won't ship it out to just refund my money and it was shipped that day!

They are slow to ship items for sure!  Too slow IMO.
