That may be because the introduction of the Byrd coincided with the accomplishment of your mission (more or less)?

IMO there´s nothing wrong with Byrd knives, their steel is not the high end steel of other Spyderco knives but their quality is great otherwise.

Bought another Crossbill, G10 version, Spyderco calls it a counterfeit, but I compared them side by side inch by inch, I really can't tell. I have the feeling the counterfeit comes out the same factory that makes knives for Spyderco in China.

and, in regards to the counterfeits, they do.

SRM and other Chinese companies made/make the Byrds and Chinese Spydies and some of them started selling and manufacturing on their own, selling through the back door... :whistle:

I'm surprised no one suggested the Bradly?!

This is maybe my favorite Spydie and an absolute Wolf in Sheeps Clothing too.

Purty enough to go anywhere but an amazing M4 blade in a fully steel lined/CF shell.

Too late now maybe but like many Spyderco for me they just need to be tried to accept.

My police friend has a Civilian which he doesn't carry it anymore, so he gifted it to me.
