Spyderco military

Man this is a big knife! Then handle is 5.5" long, same as the full size Gerber Applegate combat! Opened it's 9.5 inch, pretty damn big for my hands that's for sure.

I picked up a used one for relatively cheap, would've picked a plain edge if I could, but oh well. The tip is a little damaged so I made a little drop point to fix that. The factory edge angle is not quite there so cannot be sharpened at 30°, so I reprofiled it to 25°ish with 30° final bevel. After adjust screws and oiling, man this thing is smooooth. I can thumb flick open the blade easily without any wrist action at all. Only thing I wish is for a tip up carry option, the liner is an inch too short for that, making it full length probably will add only negligible weight.

Bought this intended to be an EDC, but now not sure anymore, I'd have sheeple calling cops on me in no time lol. Maybe I'll just keep it in my pocket and use my SAK most of the time.

Good score, the Spyderco Military is an outstanding knife.
It also has the best designed and executed liner-lock i've ever seen, and i've seen quite a few, :D

I myself own 4 different versions of this knife, from which the S30V full serrated is carried the most.

Yeah I bought the Gerber for the same reason, you never realize how big these knives are till holding one in hands. Well I'll still EDC it anyway, but just won't be using it as much.
