I found this board game.

I found this interesting board game at a Value Village. I brought it home seeing that I tend to collect survival gear. I thought it would fit into my collection.

Interesting find, I have two of the books and they are rather fun reading as well as possibly useful.

Have you convinced anyone to play it with you yet Dan? :D  Looks like it might be fun.

I'd be a bit concerned if Dan invited me to play a survival based board game and I walked into his house and saw all those boar spears and pipe tomahawks lying around....  :ahhh

I remember seeing that a couple years ago.  I know Target carries an Oregon Trail board game, although I've not played it yet.

Interesting find. Can you play by yourself?  A lot of survival situations happen when a person is alone.

I have yet to convince anyone to play it with me. Unfortunately, this game does need two to make it interesting...although I have found reading the various cards to be of interest.

I got this game a few years ago.  We played it quite alot, until we had worked thru all the cards  a couple times.  Its a fun game.
Question: How do you tell if some one has been drinking turpentine? :ahhh
the answer is in the game.

the answer is in the game.

They are people that believe homeopathic medicine works, and are therefore of little real value in a survival situation?

Or that if they drink enough they can be used as a flame thrower when they pee, provided you have an ignition source?

The only thing I know of that is beneficial when it comes to using turpentine in a survival situation is as an antibiotic for infected cuts, and even then it's not really ideal.

I just realized my comment came off a bit snarky.  I did not mean it that way.

So... it really was the worst-case scenario for them, then?...
