Odds and ends of bladed tools
on: February 17, 2017, 01:30:27 AM
I have a few blades/tools that I do not need and may be of interest to someone.  Price in Can. Dollars and open to Canadian forum members.  Details as noted – please be prepared to take all of them together – I will donate the total proceeds less shipping to the forum.

The military knife may be of interest to a collector, the sog would make an excellent “beater” knife and the paraframe a nice small pocket carry.  Sheffield - enough said.

W.R. Case and Son 1948 to 1955 or so Canadian military knife.  More info at above link.  The blade and spike have very good strong springs however the backspring for the short punch style can opener is broken – no pieces missing.  In decent condition with little rust.   This is one big chunk of steel and weighs about 8.57 oz (243 gm).  See photos for more detail.

Gerber mini paraframe – looks like it hasn’t been used.  Locks up well.  Partially serrated blade.

Sheffield pliers and screwdriver – functions properly considering it’s origins but is fairly stiff as far as folding the two handles outward.

SOG one hand opening, Fielder model.  I cleaned this one up and sharpened it but did not polish the blade.  Some scratches on it as shown.  It is very smooth opening one handed (right hand only) and locks up nicely with no blade wobble.  The screw heads are soft and two are stripped (holding one of the stainless ends on).  Heating them to remove the loctite might allow them to be removed.  There is no real need to as it functions quite nicely.  This is a relatively inexpensive knife new (around $30 Can) and the blade is made from 7CR17 stainless.  It takes a good edge but I haven’t used it enough to know how long the edge lasts.  The weight is 4.97 oz (141 gm).

I’m asking $15 for the works plus shipping within Canada only.  I estimate shipping at about $12 Can. And will cover anything over that.

John.
