Long 4th of July weekend. Did anyone else use their Leatherman to assist in food preparation or cooking this last weekend?
I occasionally think it is odd that I EDC a Signal since it was designed for outdoor wilderness use and I live in Los Angeles. This weekend I went camping with my family so I was happy to have my Signal with me day and night.
I cut paracord for a clothesline and to hang a hammock. I sawed some stuff. I used my pliers to lift hot things off the fire when a pot holder was not close by. (sorry no pictures)
And I used the blade to show my nephew how to whittle a stick so that you can cook a hot dog or roast marshmallows.
By the end of the trip I even used the hammer tool for "tent stake pulling" as the website refers to it. I always thought of that as a stupid tool/feature that they just mention to add to the tool count for marketing. (sort of like Victorinox always mentioning the key ring
) But I was surprised that it made the task much easier.
