Name that Spyderco?!
on: March 01, 2017, 05:23:02 AM
I have never owned a spyderco, until now. I recently took the plunge and dipped my toes into the proverbial "spydie hole".  :D

Anyone want to have some fun and take a guess or a gander at what my first spyderco could have been.   :mail: I'll post a inconspicuous pic from time to time if no one guesses. One guess per post.

If you guess correctly, and you want the grand prize (not grand at all) it is all yours! This is a ooold Gerber paraframe, small. Used heavily in my early 20's to open packages and the like working in wear-houses. Also, you get a BUCK! Not the knife, that'd be cool too, but an actual dollar!

Thank you. I'm enjoying it so far

It is NOT the dragonfly. Although that is a nice looking knife although I don't care for that paperclip pocket clip

I would have guessed a slipjoint of sorts, or something higher budget than the obvious Tenacious choice.

My guess - Para Military 3 .

It is NOT the paramilitary 3. But it is one of the two attributes mentioned in your post  ;)

I won't guess so as not to spoil your fun (shipping from US to here is a nightmare).

It is NOT the dragonfly. Although that is a nice looking knife although I don't care for that paperclip pocket clip

I just wanted to say my favourite Dragonfly does not have a wire clip (although to be honest, I'd prefer it):

Corwyn of Multitool, the First of His name, King of Victorinox, King of Leatherman, Gerber and the First Generation SOG, Lord of the Seven Wrenches, Protector of the Forum, Khal of the Bushes, called Corwyn Toolborn, the Unsharpened, Father of SAKs.

Yojimbo?

On second thoughts the box looks too small for that one.

I wish!!  :salute: I actually really liked that one, while playing the find Kampfer a spyderco challenge, I had no idea about that model until then.

It is small however, probably one of the smallest knifes I've owned.
