It's aliiiiiive! (First mod-isch...)

First things first,

About 2 years ago, I dropped my Gerber Suspension on a construction yard.

The spring that pushes against the pliers to keep the tool open/closed snapped right off, rendering my Suspension useless.

For the past few years, it was left forgotten in a drawer.
My girlfriend bought me a cheap multi for my birthday last year.
I carried it for about a week. After this week it was left to die in the same drawer.

Today I stumbled upon these 2 and thought "1+1=2... I mean 1"

Sadly, the springs weren't interchangeble, even though the pliers are 99% exact sizewise.

So I removed one handle from the cheapest one () and transfered it to the Gerber.

The Gerber retains some decent tools but the red handle is the typical chinese junk.

Anyway, the blade, philips driver and large flathead are still there.
The plier is useable again...

This will do for a glovebox tool :tu:

More frankengerbers for the win!!   :viking:

Did you put the handle on back to front or is it meant to be like that? Gerbog SuspensionAssist?

Meant like that.
It wouldn't fit otherwise and the red thing had inner tools anyway :)
