Came upon this female snapping turtle on my morning walk. She's looking to lay her eggs. Her shell was about 12 inches long, so a pretty good size although I've seen some much bigger around here.

Cool turtle, yesterday I was out mowing the lawn and almost ran over a big frog, they blend in so well, but he got out of the way and I cut him a nice path to hop down,,
