Nicely done  :tu: I remember first seeing them and going wow!  Too bad the thumb locks were a pain to use. I think this was the first LM to have locking tools. I might be wrong.

The OG Wave (98) had liner locks and the Crunch (99) had push tab locks before the Pulse (2000)

Wonder why they didn't try to implement the push tab locks on anything else at the time

So the OG Wave is the first with external locking tools and the Crunch the first to have internal locking tools.

Regarding the Thumb locks in the Pulse, my guess is they were trying to implement a more secure lock. In theory push tab locks can get pressed if you held the tool a certain way when using. But in reality it is not a problem and much easier to operate.

I did a search and the OG Supertool had locking tools too. But it did not have a button to unlock. Had to pull out an unused tool to unlock the locked tool. I had totally forgotten about it. That shows how long it has been since I've used the OG ST. It's getting used this weekend :)

Yeah I was just thinking unlocking tools when you said that  my first YouTube video on the OG Supertool I even mentioned it ::)

Thanks for correcting me on that  :tu:

Yes, I had buttons in mind when I first asked. Then deviated to any type of locking tools. I am a scatter brain. Sorry for the confusion.
