When I was carrying this MT all the time, way back when :D the only thing that replaced it was the Supertool 300 :o

I prefer the slimness of the OG but the locks of the 300  :D I guess they fiured while they were updating the design they wanted to roll the edges and make it more comfortable  The 200 is a bit wider as well and not much different that the 300, so I guess the balance is between more comfort and bulkiness  I never thought the OG was uncomfortable to use though :D

For me personally, if you NEED a SuperTool at your job, the OG ST won't be all that uncomfortable, because your hands will be rough and tough anyway.
I haven't noticed a problem with hand comfort for many years.  I usually have cuts, bruises, burns, and callused spots on my hands at any given time. :ahhh
But, with that being my situation, I can appreciate the idea of rolled edges.

Some  you may recall that last week in another thread I had found a mint PST, still with box and papers but it's in New York State.

Although it's still available, I did not get it.

I did find another one that I'm after...

https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/tls/d/leatherman-tool/6422327107.html

Well, I picked up the more local of the two and am pleased with it. No box or papers, but a nice PST with original leather sheath. Manufacture dates of October and November 1999.  Just says Leatherman Tool and Oregon on both sides. No patent pending, no numbers, nothing. Tools cantilevered (?) so that pressure is applied to keep the drivers open rather than closed. Everything seems right. Sheath seems a hair thinner on the leather, but still much better than current day. Has the nice, Leatherman metal stamped snap button, unlike many which have a simple smooth snap.

Thank you J-sews for putting together the chronology project whereby origin dates can be confirmed, and thank you Wowboro for the premium sheath photo documentation.

Funny, in the Craiglist ad, the seller said he was selling because he didn't need 3 of them. So...this will be my 9th Leatherman...

Very nice equipment, Steve, and also a very nice carved piece underneath it all.

Steve, great Color on the Boker and the Wave sheath. I use one of those Wave sheaths (doesn't have the symbol on the snap nor the embossed letters) for my PST II because it didn't come with a sheath.

And again, what is that carved piece?
