Marlboro Adventure Team March
on: March 12, 2017, 07:03:33 AM
Since all the days of the week are already taken I hearby christen this Marlboro Adventure Team March.
If anyone else appreciates our favorite knives that could be obtained by smoker reward points please post your picks of these unique yet common sense tool combinations.
If this is just stupid, it is not my fault, my Victorinox bottle opener has been quite active tonight.

Nice pics for the family album!

PS How much would you need to smoke for a single SAK?

The Spartan version was about 250 MILES - 5 Miles per pack of Ciggy Butts  :D

the leatherman was either 650 or 850  right in there...........

Boy, the cigarette industry is never short of scummy ideas when it comes to flogging their product...
"Just fill yer lungs with Marlboro Red smoke 500,000 times and we'll give you a really special Swiss Army Knife which you won't find anywhere else! By the time you're enjoying your first cardiac you'll have an AMAZING SAK collection!"

Great SAKs they are too! Just a bit creepy, seeing them on ebay. You have to wonder if the original owner is short of cash, short of breath, or if he's finally gone off to the great big Marlboro Country in the sky. Leaving some awesome SAKs for his widow to get rid of..!

Yeah pretty slimey gimmick by them Ta-backy big wigs ..... and think the spartan was low miles......leatherman mid...... but the bigger SAK's were like 2000 or 3000 miles if i remember right?
I was in high school when I was into inhalin' anythang somebody rolled up, but i do remember the ADVENTURE TEAM gear very well. :D
One of the reasons I have memories of and like the TrailGuide so much.

Marly March, I like it!  :like:

I have a few, this was actually my first LM, and the Vic pocket watch was a must have for me at the time (see what I did there), but I never smoked the damned things, so disgusting, just lucky (or unlucky) enough to have relatives who did, who I helped fund their nasty habit for the gear!  :D

The grossness of cigarettes I remember well, getting into cars with brown haze on the windows so thick you could hardly see out, overflowing ashtrays with ashes ground in to the carpets, sticky seats and doors, so very disgusting. Ah, the bad ol' days...  :P

I started collecting SAKs because of the Marly knives, the Troubleshooter in particular, but this was during my SwissChamp EDC years, so these got preserved for the most part. I have found a few more Marly SAKs which I rescaled or otherwise modded, but these ones are all part of my core collection.

Have some of the Marlboro SAKs (courtesy of ebay), but too lazy to dig them out.

This is the only thing I've ever smoked.
