I don't know about you guys, but I think the s18 is the best backpack sak on the market right now, it's got all the best parts from wenger thrown in with upgrades from victorinox. Let's see some pics!

I would, but I'm currently not in possession of one . I'll second that though!

The Evolution range have all got locking blades which make them illegal to carry in the UK, or many other European countries. So many of us won't be able to participate. Such a shame. I wish Vic would consider making non-locking versions for us.

Only the S models have locking blades, with both Wenger and Victorinox versions of the Evo series.
So for example, if you get an Evolution 14 and an Evolution S14, only the latter will lock. The standard 14 will not have a locking blade and thus be fine for those of us in the UK.

Thanks for correction! I''m very new to all this. That opens up some more SAKs for me to consider.

@ Spartan 19 - did you mean to limit the Fan Club to only locking blades?

On looking further into it, the Evolution Grip 18 (non-locking) may be just what I've been looking for: Phillips, Scissors and Saw at only 94 gms compared the Fieldmaster at 101 gms.
But I am a bit worried about the Saw – it has bad reviews on YouTube as not being as good as the one used on the 91mm range.
Any comments?

I think Spartan was referring to both locking and non locking versions.  Don't forget the pre Evo version, the Wenger Handyman.  Imo, it carries more nicely than the Evo scales.

Hey guys sorry I didn't check in sooner, it's been a crazy couple weeks. Yeah locking and non locking are welcome, I know the UK lock laws are frustrating
