It's taken several years of exploration, but I've pretty much found what I want in terms of pliers based tools. I've also modded several to make them even better for me. Now I need to offload the surplus.

I'm not there with Swiss knives yet though. I have all the stock versions that I want, and have some mod fodder, but still need a few more parts to build the mods that I would like:

Wenger 85mm metal file and backspring

Wenger 85mm fully serrated blade

93mm scissors and backspring

Inline phillips drilled for doing the 93mm mod that places it opposite the openers.

84mm metal file and backspring (long shot, and not getting my hopes up)

Assorted materials for scales. This is already work in progress, and I have a good friend helping me out with some of them. I have also found suppliers for the rest once I get some funds to work with.

I'm planning on doing some folding knife mods too, and restoring a couple of old razors. Lots of ideas, no funds, erratic health, and everything will be done with minimal tools at my kitchen table.  :D Should be fun.

I also need a 3/8"-16TPI bolt/set screw about 1.1/2" long. I'm assuming it's UNC, but don't have the means to verify  :-\

Top5:
Cheese knife
Orange/Black 111mm scales & orange cord

Wait, that's not five is it? Nope, but this is it for the moment.
Recently I bought a Sentinel with the hope of swapping the scales for orange ones.
Sadly they are harder to come by than I thought.

Any number of old and/or rare models that generally go for far more than I'm willing to pay!    :ahhh

You're not on your lonesome there !

I'm still looking for:

Original LM "catalogue" PSTs (both Cabela's "Sportsman's Pocket Multi-Tool" and the Early Winters' "Pocket Toolchest"  version) at a price I'm prepared to pay

Orange LM Squirt (these do exist, but are very, very rare)

LM camo Juices (me and a zillion other MTo members looking for these)

Morley Plier-Knife (again, only at a non-stratospheric price)

Odd coloured Gerber Multi-Lites ( I have Black, Green, Purple/Pink) but other colours may exist.

Japanese LM Mini (seen photos, never heard of an actual tool in the wild).

Copy of LM Mini

Tiger Stripe SOGs ( I have a PowerLock)

First Production Run MTs ( I have Mr Pinchy, MP600, Multi-Lite, Al Mar 4x4 & Quickgrip, Buck 360 & 355, Case Ziplight, Smith & Wesson)

Prototypes of name brand plier-based MTs

I would like to try this one by Böker. Is it as good as Victorinox? Is it better than Swiza?

Good to see this topic still going! I checked my opening post and see that my wishes have been granted. :)

The CT-41 was a long shot and it seems that there were scores of others trying for it.  After several months, I found one and snatched it up.  I was also able to get an old stock NIB Ranger with the original camping logo and an old stock NIB Camper with foil stamped camping logo.

These days, I have some wish targets with BSA logos but am pretty happy with my collection.

Jim

I have a few items I'd love to have. Some of them are pretty commomn, some of them are discontinued and I'd probably never use them, but still...

In my wishlist at the moment there are:
- Ranger grip 71 gardener
- Hercules
- A 1988 wenger swiss army knife

Especially the last. I found some auction online, one is, at the moment, around 30.- and i am really tempted (i guess it will go quite high, as it seems pretty unused). The problem is that i spent a lot of money this month already :D I don't know if i should try to get it or not :/

Dunno, but I haven't bought a SAK for a few months and I want something.  I'm thinking knifeless Cybertool and something with a sheepsfoot blade...   Might have to take a bunch of victims donors down the garage and see what crawls out. >:D

My wishlist currently still revolves around mods. Not necessarily the parts, but just the window of circumstance, and good fortune with the results.

The Mega84 V1 needs rebuilding as the V2
The Sheepsfoot Duke needs to become the Townie
The Mega74, Mega91, and Mega93 need creating
Brian needs a new suit

I appreciate that none of those will make much sense... yet ... and they'll all be several months in the making.

I also have a few other concepts that I'd like to play around with before setting my heart on specific goals.

How about both an 84 mm and 91 mm Recruit with an inline awl replacing the small blade, or a Spartan or Tinker with a sheeps foot blade replacing the small blade.

My current and highly positive experience with a "two hand opening" (is this how you say it?) Centurion has put me on the lookout for a two handed Trailmaster/Trekker (I need a saw).

Why not a plain edge OHT? Because I want comfort when I'm sawing and I'm OK to go without OHO to achieve it.

A one handed Centurion! :)

Sounds great! It's a fantastic knife, so why not issue a version that's quicker to open, too?  :pok:

My SAK wishlist for the next few months:

- Pioneer X
- Executive
- Wenger Evogrip S16 (less preferred but more likely: Vic Evo S16)
- Spirit X
- A birthyear SAK (1980)
- I have two spare Exlorers, planning to have them modded into a Scientist and a Yeoman
- pretty low on the list, but at some point, just to have an 84 mm Alox too: Cadet

And after these? Actually, I'll be pretty happy with my collection at that point, but of course there are always something new/old/rare/nice one can long for... :)
