How about some fishing knives?

Today finds me going through various knife boxes trying to organize(?)things a bit better and re-photograph some not so good pictures. Haven't bought any new knives lately because I'm spending all my money on camera batteries! Anyway I thought I'd post up a few pictures of some folding fish knives and maybe later some "Floaters".In case you aren't familiar with the term these are knives that use cork for handle material allowing the knife to(supposedly)float if it is accidentally dropped overboard.These came in both fixed blade and folding versions.The majority of the folding ones I have seen were made in Italy as were some of the fixed blades.One of the more unique ones I have appears to be a floating diver's knife(!) Wonder who thought THAT up?
Anyway here are a few or more;hope you enjoy them and feel free to post any you might own.
First pic is of 2 Colonial;2 Camco and a Hibbard Spencer & Bartlett.
Second is 2 more Colonial;2 more Camco and a Kent.
Third is of 2 Fred MacOverland fish multitools and a Johnson 3 blade knife with a gaff.
Last one is of 5 KA-BAR fish knives of different sizes.

A few more:
First is a Joseph Rodgers knife made for Abercrombie & Fitch(when they were into sporting goods instead of clothes)that features a corkscrew;scissors;master blade;folding scale;hook disgorger and splinter remover slid into the checkered horn handles.
Second is a Colonial still in the original package from the 1950's.
Third is by Cook Brothers that has a fish shaped case to hold it.
Last is a fillet knife with a clear handle with an image of a fish inside.

a floating fish knife by Colonial
An unmarked floating knife with an unusual blade shape.
2 fish scalers;one by Pal Cutlery the other unmarked except for a fish emblem stamped into the wood.
Floating knife by R.J.Richter.Hard to see but the handle is almost 3 inches thick.

A floater by Teja & Rossa Italy.
A floater by R.J.Richter that I think is supposed to be a diver's knife.What were they thinking?
A Japanese floater with a handle that looks like a bobber.
A George Schrade folding fish knife with his patented wire handle.

Here is how one of these floating knives works:To operate pull the handles slightly apart at the rear to disengage the lock pin.Then rotate the handle around exposing the blade.Continue rotating and the blade will rotate to expose itself.continue to rotate until the pin once again locks into place.

Getting toward the end:
A KA-BAR floating knife with the center of the blade cut out to reduce weight.
A KA-BAR Fly fishing knife.
A Kershaw combination knife with 5 back springs and fishing blades.
A Lunawerk fish bonker similar to the Puma except this one has a steel flexible ruler inside the ball.

Whoops! The last pic in the previous post was incorrect.Here is the correct picture.
Second is a Lunawerk floater(see previous post-last picture)
Next isa couple of Puma fish bonkers.
Next is a small Swedish Mora knife with the handle carved in the shape of a fish.
Last is an unmarked combination tool(knife;pliers,etc.)

Last ones for tonight:
A multi-tool by Picam.Removes hooks;scales fish;weighs fish a thousand and one uses! lol
Sport Pal multi-tool.Same deal only it also features what looks like a tack lifter on the wrench end.
An unmarked double bladed knife that comes apart for cleaning.Sharp on one side;reversed teeth on the other.

Mine dates back to ca 1985, it's the original Hank Roberts design that was marketed in the USA by Orvis Fishing Tackle. At the time, I was Treasurer of the second fly fisherman's club in The Netherlands, with Chairman Erik van den Berg http://www.fishingwildplaces.com/.
