Help me name the dog.

We're getting a new pup in the next few weeks and we're struggling to pick a name we all agree on.  I can't say we're going to listen to you lot but you never know. :D

here's the pup in question.

My aunt in Scotland had a dog named Isla for many years.  I think she was a Westie, but it has been a while.

That would be my vote.

Whatever you call her she is very pretty and will use that in her defense when it is time to ignore you calling her... :D

If she were to be Ceilidh - It would have to be that spelling of course (the proper Scottish spelling)
Can't stand all those K's - And that was even before the Kardashians
But not keen on that as a name - she's a dog not a dance

Intreresting - Two Scottish islands as potential names - As much as I love Iona I dont think it works as a dog's name. Way too many syllables for a start
- And how weird - How can you get three syllables in four letters - That must be a record.
So I went for Isla(y)!! I love, love, love Islay and, suprisingly, the smallest reason is the whisky.

I think Skyla is a great suggestion (and like the international/language link!!)
But I would incorrectly pronounce it as sky-lah not skee-lah - Then you also get the link to Islay.
And the sky bit is great too - conjures up all sorts of lovely images.

And selected Jess as my 2nd vote  - But Tess is good too

I think pets names should always have an 's' for some reason!
My cat is Slinky an earlier one was Whisky, had a Hamish hamster etc etc
Although you don't really hear it in Isla(y) - If you pronounce it correctly!!
