Day 27 of 30

Cut some tie wire this morning with the 600 :tu: It excels at this since there is no hard wire notch  :like:

... I might have gotten a little tired of using only one MT, but the social thing around these challenges are awesome  :salute:

We are either cheerleaders or a mutual support group depending on if you like the tool or not. :twak:

Yes the social aspect of these challenges is a big plus for me as well :salute: I have grown to take the 600 for what it is and good or bad it is a tool that can work :tu: :like:

I could have sworn that I posted this pic in this thread once already today.  Maybe I put it in the wrong thread!  Just back from the gun range.

Today's EDC:

- Gerber MP-600 - woot!
- Streamlight Stylus Pro 2xAAA light [<<< most used item]
- mini Sharpie [<<< 2nd most used item]
- Victorinox Super Tinker
- Fisher space pen with fine refill
- Victorinox Classic on keys
- Cold Steel 4" Talwar (I have the 5.5", and just ordered a 5.5" in blue G10; this is the first time I've carried a folder during the MP Challenge.
- S&W Shield 45 with 7-round mag in Alien Gear Cloak Slide holster [I usually go smaller and lighter, like a Glock 43 or S&W 442 in the pocket].
- 6-round spare mag (in awesome Kytexgear holster)
- Maxpedition phone holster

It seems like a lot of stuff to pack around all day, but 5.11 Taclite Pro shorts or pants help a lot, and like anything you get used to and and your brain forgets that its there. I'm also experimenting with Wrangler Rip-stop cargo pants from Walmart, which are less than half the price of the 5.11 version.  The 5.11 flavor are better, but not twice as good.

Day 28 - Saw day

The old christmas tree got shaved. The saw was used to cut of the small branches and cut the three in sections. Some kind of chopper would have done it faster but this is Amorphous April :D ... and it took less than 10 minutes anyway. I realized that the mp600 handle  likely is the most comfortable MT handle for sawing. The "under" handle was not in the way when sawing.

The SOG saw on the mp600

The sog saw has aggressive 90 degree angles on teeth in the backstroke, while the angle is less aggresive on the LM Rebar saw. The swiss tool is even less aggresive in its teeths. I prefere the less aggressive saws so far as it makes the sawing smoother ... but the SOG saw is still good ;)
