Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

I like the pen. I never saw the point of tactical pens, but this is awesome!. Jus loose the flat screwdriver and the bottle opener, and replace them with 4mm hex bit driver.  :multi:

I don't want to sound negative but these new baton tools seem extremely overpriced for what you are getting.

So many people on youtube are saying that they are super innovative and new.  The same basic concept was being used for years by Olympia tools
http://olympiatools.com/product_info.php?products_id=5188
now, even if they didn't come up with the idea first, I still applaud SOG because they seem to be thinking "outside the box" more than the other major brands for the last two years.

But that being said, I still think these things look like they are making very poor use of space.  I feel like the Victorinox Mini champ midnite has more tools and functions that all four of the Q batons combined and it's the size of my pinky finger, and you can buy them for $35-$40!  (I know that the size makes that an unfair comparison, but it should still be noted)

I would love to see this idea perfected in a great multi tool but these things do not seem to be what I'm looking for.

It's a tool by Outu (also available with other branding) that was, if I recall, "borrowed" from a thread here on MTo. I have one in black. It's a unique design, but mediocre quality. Not bad if you get it cheap.

That is my biggest issue with these... they just pile up on the redundant tools. A pen / 4mm bit-driver combo would really add something.

Still, I'm liking the Q1 and the Q4
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I see things in the Q1 and Q4 that I like, but I just can't get over the very apparent waste of space.     They take up HALF of the MT for a pen!  HALF!  Victorinox builds very functional pens into their scales.  SOG doesn't seem to be doing anything with their scales other than making the MT bulkier and larger.   ::)

I would love a pen/baton shaped MT that had pliers in it, but I just don't see any excuse for why they would ever make these and NOT put a pen, a light, and a bit driver on every single model.

*Side note* does anybody know if the Q2 legally qualifies as a fixed blade?  Because if it does, states like CA would consider it a concealed weapon if it was not carried openly on a belt.  (defeating the purpose?)
