 Dare I try it again?
I failed on my first try with a Camper (my favorite knife when I was in my 20's), and my first SAK.
Then I found out about Yeoman and mods and the like, so I had one made, HUGE thanks to GigaHz for making this dream come true.

Going to try for a badge....again.   :2tu:

Day 1:
Here's the knife that is going to be showcased.  I love that it has the foil stamped Camping logo, just like my first SAK.
I like that it has a file on the hook.  I like that it has scissors.  One of the most used items is likely the pen at this time and the main blade for opening packages.  :tu:
I love the wood saw, but I never use it, yet I feel comfort knowing it's there.

Wish me luck!
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

Thanks Vicman!
Already using it today.
I used the scissors to open up a package in order to install an inline petcock into my little motorbike.
The package being opened:

The petcock was installed in the red motorbike:  These are 2015 SYM Symba.  More or less a clone of the original Honda Cub.

Love the scooters (although I am not sure if the red & white one is a scooter)!  I had never seen a scooter until my family moved from the East Coast to California in the 50's.  There were several in use in our town and two up the street from us.

I like the red motorbike. It is a fun size for hopping around town. :like:

Oh no!  I am always getting things wrong around here.   Oh well, I want to go with this for 30 days, so I'm okay with no badge, just the fun experience will be enough.

A badge should be made for these kind of SAKs... All the SAKs I use are modded.

Well for now you can get the mod user badge ;) and if you go ahead with the challenge we might even have a modded SAK 30 day challenge

Would you be willing to head up a 30 day April challenge of this sort? If so I am sure we have several here that might be interested in such a challenge :like: Only thing is getting it together and getting the participants by April 1st

If you do feel up to it just start a thread similar to the 30 day challenge threads we normally have and we will try and get some participants   :tu: If this happens then I am sure we can get a badge hammered out :like:

Poncho, I don't think I can get that organized.  Maybe when I'm on Summer break.

So for now, day 2.

The main duties of any of my SAKs is opening packages.

What's inside?  A new-to-me leather case, I'm hoping it will work with my XLT.

Good use for your SAK....opening a box with a Vic case in it. Hope it fits.

Also, it sounds like Poncho may be able to get the badge set up for you.

Way to go Poncho!

Thanks all for the support.
Day 3.
My hair spray can sometimes clog at the nozzle, so I used the main blade to pry out the clogged, dried on content.  I think an awl may have been the better choice, but my knife doesn't have one.   Maybe next mod it will.  :tu:

You're right, I could have used the straight pin as this has plus scales.  I think I'm actually more coordinated with a blade than a pin!

At least you still got the job done with the main blade. Nothing wrong with that. You are off to a good start.  :tu:

Another good use for the hook.

I have only seen the hook with the file on back in pictures. All the hooks on my Vics are smooth on the back.

I think they should put the file on the back of all hooks. It would be handy. :tu:
