Day trip in the local bush with the MP-600
on: March 26, 2017, 07:29:06 PM
Brought some other MTs along for testing them in a more natural setting

Did this simple little comparison test with the Rebar and MP600 (+SOG saw). I like the saw better on the Rebar as the SOG teeth are too coarse and makes the sawing less smooth. But I find the MP600 blade near perfect for wood work and it has far better handle comfort !

The handle comfort for wood work is unfortunately awfull on the Skeletool. This branch was cut in two by slicing back and forth. I like the skeletool better for EDC tasks when you are not continously putting force into the cuts.

Feathersticks from a willow branch with the MP-600. The handle comfort and blade is great for this task :tu:

The feathersticks was used to start a fire in the wood stove using only a ferro rod and the screw driver as a striker

MTs with saws are very usefull for sawing the small pieces of wood to continously feed the wood stove

The gear a brought along for this little trip

Thanks for stopping by :)

Very nice! It's great to get out and experience nature, even if it's for just a short while.
