Swisschamp XAVT/XXLT/XXL Owners Club
on: March 27, 2017, 01:03:00 AM
I don't think we have this club yet.
- Strange - As it is Victorinox's largest and most amazing SAK.

Recently I have found myself getting obsessed interested in the big, big SAKs
- I am afraid I cannot join the club myself - But would really, really like to hear from all you XAVT owners out there.
- Assuming you are happy to confess to owning one of these  ;)

Just wee things like:
- Is it on display or buried in a closet?
- Have your friends been amazed?
- Have you ever used it?
- How did you acquire it?
- Did you get a good deal? / Is it worth it? / Any buyers regrets?
- Isn't it a bit weird having two Cybertools? - Thoughts?
- What about all those amazing digital scale tools - How is the barometer?
- And, for that matter, the total incredible tool set !!
- And/or anything else you feel will interest your fellow Knights - Questions above not mandatory - Just some ideas!!

XXLT owners also feel free to pitch in - But I think not the XLT
We already have quite a lot on that tool - and I want to keep this thread for the biggest  :o  8)

Mod Edit June 2021: Added in XXL - As it is the new XAVT

Thanks all

I don't think we have this club yet.
- Amazing as it is Victorinox's largest and most amazing SAK.
Here's a photo I recently took of my XAVT next to the XLT, then SwissChamp, then Cybertool 34.

- Is it on display or buried in a closet? In a display cabinet, but I keep the lid closed to avoid dust and open it when folks come around.
- Have your friends been amazed? It has elevated my status in many circles.  :D
- Have you ever used it? I use it as a photography prop.
- How did you acquire it? I bid like a crazed fool for it about 3 years ago.
- Did you get a good deal? / Is it worth it? / Any buyers regrets?  I paid $285.  As far as worth goes, I believe it will hold its value, so yes, worth it.  I don't have regrets.
- Isn't it a bit weird having two Cybertools? - Thoughts?  It's a design element that the Libra in me finds equalizing.
- What about all those amazing digital scale tools - How is the barometer? I like the matte finish, I don't use the LCD part at all.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

I'm definitely not going to be a part of the club anytime soon ether.  I would like to add in my thoughts on the digital tools after carrying a voyager for a while.  I really like the thought of having them on the knife scales but I always used my phone to check the time and weather so I went back to carrying a compact around.  I'd also like to add in an additional question for the XAVT group are you planning on getting a new one since they changed up the tools?

Another repost:

Swiss Champ, SC XL, SC XLT, SC XAVT

And larger than the others combined, a Giant.

I wonder why they put two cybertools on the XAVT and the XXLT

Hey Guys

Thanks so much for joining the club and all the fantastic piccies.
It's really great to see the comparison shots with the other biggies.

I can never decide if the XAVT is amazing or ridiculous  ???
Still - I can't deny I'd love to have one  :D

FB - I'd say you got an vg. deal - I saw one on EvilBay for $1,200 recently - Now that is ridiculous! But they seem to be at least $400  :tu:
CS - Really good to see the XL - I'd say that one is pretty rare - eh? :salute: And of course a Giant  :ahhh
vucongkhoi - That pic looks like yours is a user - Wow - Congrats   8)

And LeaF you have excelled yourself
And I gotta guess .....  ;) .....
6L Champion w Phillips, 6LChampion w CS, 7L Champion (old MG), Champion Plus, SwissChamp, XLT, XXLT, XAVT  ???
The whole family - Wow

Suddenly my SwissChamp feels like a minimal carry.
This is so true  - And I used to think the SC was ridiculously big
PS. Note to self - Must work on my use of English - I used amazing (or derivative) four times in my first post  :twak:

I really have enjoyed this thread!  My youngest son is enamored with the XAVT, enough that I've looked into one but the cost had kept me from jumping on one.
