Great idea! Nice neat package. On its own I can see the logic but once you start adding the ratchet and extender then the portability suffers a bit.

My fault??? The only CT model on board is R2's 3mm CT29. He won't lend me it because he says I'll crush it with my stupid clumsy human fists.

Awesome design!!!! So how does this kickstarter thing work? How do I sign up and ensure that I get one? Also, how long does production take once the kickstarter is over? I am going on a cruise mid May and this would be perfect. Thanks

Your fault because you gave me my first SAK that got me hooked on those as well as leatherman.

I don't know about signing up, but once you "pledge" money on a project, it only gets taken out of your bank account if the project meets the required funding level.
It appears that this particular project has already reached 1400%(correct?)(!) of the minimum funding amount, so it will succeed. You can still pledge though, for early bird goodness.

So yeah, there are different pledge levels for better and better goodies.

And it appears that this company has made other products in the past, so there appears to be very little risk that they wont deliver on their promises.  :tu:
They have the details of when this will be put into production and have the early bird units shipped, on the page.

Didn't CRKT make a tool like this a few years ago?

Nifty.

And it's quite terrible for a lot of situations without the extender. Sure, it has a large-ish handle, but practically no reach. So you need the accessories, at which point it becomes bulky enough that I'd rather just carry my Spirit or other fully equipped MT. So yeah, I'm going to have to go against the consensus on this one and say it seems kinda bad overall. I also question the ergonomics, but that can be difficult to judge without handling it yourself, so I won't count that among the main issues I have with it.

I also want to note that the slightly tapered design of the CRKT is superior.
