Same here!
I picked up a Gerber Curve on clearance at SMKW while I was down there a couple weeks ago, but I think my last purchase of a "serious" MT was my Spirit, around October. I'm pretty hyped to try out the PA. It has a really nice looking set of features.

I was severely tempted to join but I just posted a thread complaining about me owning MTs that never get used..... I couldn't be a hypocrite now.

You live in Ottawa- isn't this the home of hypocrisy?

I guess I'm one to talk, I live much closer to the wretched hive of scum and villainy than you do!   :ahhh

As soon as I get it I will turn them around and ship them back out immediately.  But, I also am heading out of town for the holiday, so if they aren't here by Wednesday I probably won't see them until next week.

I've been fiddling with it and working the gunk out of the pliers over the past couple hours, and I have a few preliminary observations;

First, my example has what I'm sure will be some of the best fit & finish in the run. Everything lines up well and aside from some initial stiffness (which is rapidly fading with a little elbow grease) the implements are simple enough to extend. Albeit with a little clumping, but the only tool I own that's absolutely without any clumping is my Spirit. So it would probably be silly to hold most tools to that standard.
The quality of the handle tools seems more or less on par with my other SOGs (SwitchPlier 2.0 and CrossGrip), which is acceptable, if not stellar. I'll be putting them and the pocket clip through their paces over time, so we'll see how it goes.
This is my first time playing around with a compound leverage SOG, and I like it so far. I used the pliers to fold up a bottle cap, an idle habit of mine, and it was quite easy.

The ergonomics seem so-so. The handles are quite thin in places, but the edges aren't sharp and, perhaps by virtue of my specific hand size/shape, hotspots are pretty minimal. I wouldn't say it's any less comfortable than my LM Rebar, but your mileage may vary.

Lastly, I want to comment on the aesthetics, which are outstanding in my opinion. The whole "industrial" design is very appealing to me, and the little details like the "A" on the black plate that serves as a protractor, and the way they stamped the ruler markings on the clip are really nice.

Well, this post has become more wordy than I originally intended, so I'll wrap it up here. I'm keen to see what everyone else thinks.

P.S. Grant, thanks for the opportunity!

Last night I was practicing one-handed opening and closing with the PA and whilst on a closing attempt it slipped and I threw it straight into my leg. Today there's a nice bruise.

I have a nice star on my windshield from the bit on my Reactor. It let go while flipping it open, smacked the glass hard. Apparently, SOGs can be dangerous in the hands of an idiot :D

Just be glad you weren't playing with a Surge.   :ahhh

The remaining Power Assists will be delayed a bit due to a hold that was put on my credit card following a bunch of authorized purchases from the US.

I was hoping to get it sorted today but it didn't work out.  I will get it sorted on Monday for sure, but meanwhile if anyone wants their money back please send me a PM and I'll get it returned to you.

This pushes the time line of the Power Assists back by about a week by the time you factor in the holiday.

COMPLETELY UNACCEPTA.... just kidding. Life happens. This is a better deal than I could get at any of the local stores and if I'm buying from anywhere online, I'm happy it's the MTO Store. I can wait.

Thanks for giving us a heads up. :tu:

No updates of any importance yet, but I am making progress.

The good news is that SOG has the order on standby, so as soon as I get the go-ahead from the wonderful folks at Amex get their stuff sorted out.

You and me both.  I am amazingly frustrated by this.  I am still waiting for an update from my CC company.  On the one hand I appreciate that their fraud unit is being very thorough, but on the other hand, when I say it is legitimate it should just me legitimate.... they are calling the same number I have had since before I dealt with them, using the same email address etc.... you'd think that would be a good enough verification, but since I changed my address within the last year and suddenly made large, out of country purchases it seems to be upsetting them.

I'm scared to use one of my other cards for fear of the same thing happening to one of them too....  :ahhh

The way things have been going, I am considering it.

As I said, if anyone wants their $ back, please send me a PM.

I suppose teething problems are a prerequisite for a new retailer, but this is a hell of a way to get a new store off the ground.
