Time for retiring.
This is mine with a stitching failure:

Oh come on, just needs a little more stitching,

I meant "retire poncho's sheath." I'm the son of a seamstress. I can fix it, but I also know careless work when I see it.

Yeah that one needs a little more then just stitching, I mean don't knock it, you could put a patch on the bottom!

My grandmother used to do all sorts of sewing, she had people come over allll the time, she made a pretty penny too! But I used to watch her and learned a few things, she even gave me an old sewing machine with all sorts of goodies. Not saying I'm good, I'm not! But Ive hemmed a few pants and even made a few custom hankerchiefs for myself

Yeah, pretty much everything I've done has been posted on here, well maybe not the two pants I've hemmed and also tightened in a very unique way!

When I repair it I mean I will take the whole pocket off and find some very tough fabric (preferably black) and sew the whole thing on new  I have used thread and needle a time or 2 before myself ;) Never through this many layers mind you but I do have a needle or so that will do through :salute: I will def take pics of the process should I get this project done :tu:

This is really disappointing. I haven't really found a good use for my LM molle sheath so might as well sell it rather than experience its demise. Tsk, tsk.

Well the bottom of the sheath ripped out this evening  I may have given it a little help as the hole was almost big enough for my ST 300 to fit through  :o So I made it big enough ::) It lasted a good while but now I am carrying the good quality molle sheath and we shall see if it fairs any better :salute: :D

I will try and get pics sometime of the destroyed sheath :salute:

A suggestion for when you're ready to rebuild the old sheath.  Go to a junk yard where they let you scavenge on your own and find yourself some seat belts.  The material is practically indestructible and is very easy to sew.

Hey, Poncho!

Your pic in reply #118 made me wonder what about wearing the sheath upside-down for a while? You might yet get some more mileage out of this pig!

Glad to report that this other style molle sheath is holding up well to everyday use and shows little signs of wear for as much as I have carried it :tu: The velcro is loosing a bit of stick so I may put a snap on it sooner or later but it is more than adequate as of now :salute:
