I have an (allegedly) US Army issued sheath with a snap in the middle of the velcro just like that. I've always wondered if it was made that way or if someone modded it.

I like Velcro ok but it never holds up in long term use ::) :D I always knew this would need a snap and just now took the time to add it

This sheath should give me service for a good long while now :tu:

No other signs of wear on this one either :salute: It is holding up hundreds if not thousands of times better than the other one :D

Since adding the snap this sheath is still going strong and is holding together very well :like: Except for nights and Sundays I have it with me everyday  Can't believe how much of a difference between this sheath and the lesser quality one  :D

I had forgotten about this little experiment :D

I carry one of the nylon camo sheaths these days but the second Molle sheath is still useable I believe  I just wanted a change  :D

Don’t have time to read through the whole thread because I have a date with a pile of snow.

Pretty sure I have some very nice Army issue Molle sheaths around here somewhere. They might be Gerber sheaths if that matters to you.

Molle sheaths are great but the first version of the Leatherman one that I had was destroyed very quickly :ahhh the next one was a much better quality one and I still have it but just moved on to another sheath

I would love to see pics of your Molle sheaths whenever you get time and also, have fun in the snow  :D ;)
