New one on me dkop, pretty cool!  :tu:

Welcome to MTO, looks like you found the right place for Climber folks.
I must say that I generally carry a tinker, but figured the corkscrew on my climber would serve me better during my extended stay in North-Rhein Westfalia. Which was true, until I had to assemble a fan for my apartment because of the miserable heat we were having. The one time I needed an SAKs phillips driver, I had my climber  :ahhh
but for the various local wines and distilled spirits.... wonderful tool to have!  :climber:

I do end up using the can opener for Phillips quite a lot. The Explorer is a good travel model too. :tu:

I made the can opener work well enough to keep me from sweating through every night!

:like: I'm finding that either my Opinel No 9 Bricolage or my Leatherman Rebar is a good companion to my Climber for the screwdriver assortment.

Well folks... all the talk of corkscrew usage and glory here have compelled me to FIND opportunities to use my climber rather than my tinker....
Fortunately for my mental health and unfortunately for my wallet, Pennsylvania has a fair selection of local wineries churning out some pretty good product.
So thank you all for leading me into temptation to betray not only my trusty Tinker, but also my beverage of choice, whiskey. I've gone and ruined 2 perfectly good relationships now

So Barry, does that mean we won't be seeing you in the SAKMC?   :drink:
BTW, I'm with you...too many choices as we keep accumulating neat colors and tool configs...I think SAKGuy has flyers & info regarding a group that helps peeps with this addiction.

I could really evolve up to my huntsman!
But I'm not a fan of carrying 3+ layer tools without a specific reason to. my 2-layer tinker is perfect. If I were to get a compact, maybe then I'd carry a corkscrew tool. My climber is finding it's home in my desk drawer now, always ready to slice a peach or open a bottle of mead, or sweet wine...

Soon both scales will look the same as the emblem is  unfortunately wearing out.

I used to only like the camper but I'm now begging to think that the Climber is more practical of the two.  I want another as a backup.

Climbers are great.  You can find them super cheap. I've got a pre 80 red and a post 91 black if you wanna do another trade.

I was surprised to see that there is a Climber owner's club. At present, I have a single black LL Bean Climber and will need to get a photo for this thread.
