Rather peeved!
on: April 10, 2017, 06:45:27 PM
I'm rather peeved!

The Spring on my Style PS broke this afternoon. It's lived an easy life in my day off skinth, and it's never been abused. Bah!

Sadly you're not the first mate. :-\  It doesn't seem to be all that common thankfully, but it still happens far more than it should.

Maybe we should open the scissors from time to time, to relieve some tension from the spring... Leave it open overnight.

This one was bought as soon as the PS was released.

I'm coming to the conclusion I'm going to stop buying any Leatherman made after say 2012....

OK, mine was the CS model not the PS (I had to go back and find my original post)

On mine the spring that broke was the backspring of the blade, not the pliers/scissors spring
Here is my post, from 2011 FYI:

Every time I use my CS I wonder how long it will last. So far maybe 250 openings and it feels flimsier every single time.

I cannot even imagine the same tool with pliers and actually turning something with them.

Still sorry for your loss. Maybe time to get one with cool color?

I don't think Leatherman will take responsability...

They'll argue Spring break is normal this time of year...
