Old Victorinox Angler
on: April 07, 2017, 11:11:19 PM
Let's go for the first post.
I recently kept this old Angler in a regular store.
The shopkeeper with whom I have a good relationship knew that the Angler is my model as always.
And I had saved this in case I was interested.
It's a little weird..
Current configuration.
Wide blade.
Stamp from years ago.
No fish on the scale.
No Hole to Flus.
Modern pliers
Manual printed in green.
Box without model name.
At the moment I have it with approximately date of manufacture between 1988 and 1992.
Now some photos

And here my two Anglers.

I hope the photos are seen.
Add that although I have many more Victorinox the Angler has a great personal value for me.

Hope you like.
And I would appreciate any information about the old Angler
Greetings and thank you

The pictures are now visible.

Very nice knife. It was probably made some time around 1997-1998. Victorinox didn't start making this model until around 1994, but the modern version of the pliers plus no locking tab on the caplifter indicate that it was made sometime in the late 1990s.

It could be but since it did not have a hole for afiler I closed it around 1991.
Although the pliers look modern.
Anyway of the year that is I am very happy to get one with wide blade.
Anyway my knowledge is not great to be sure
A greeting and thanks for comment

I'm very curious now. Is there a difference in blade with on the large blade?
I know that the large blade can differ in thickness (thinner on mondern models) but never noticed a difference in blade width.

I was referring to the 2.4mm at the base of the sheet.
It is one of the thickest.
Sometimes we try to use simple words for the translator.

And they may not be the best.
I am sorry.

Don't worry about it. I have to Google Translate sometimes too.
I just got confused about the blade types. I want to know everything! haha.
