Respect the trees!!

I noticed an increase in violence and disrespect towards trees lately in this forum

People chop them down, stub them with knives and even when they are dead people keep cutting their lifeless wooden parts, using axes and chainsaws, stub them with Multitools , FOR FUN  , and some people even burn them !!!!! 

AND, post pictures of their actions, without even trying to hide what they are doing to our plant brothers!!!

I plead guilty! 

I live in a very old house where there is only wood heating....
We have a lot of cows, deer, pigs and other animals here, but they do not burn so well. 
So I burn the trees and eat the animals but I let live the grass, salad, vegetables, etc. 
To eat the poor animals is not friendly, but to eat the food of the poor animals is much worse!!!

BTW: Vegetables are much more intelligent than we think!
Many vegetables (cucumbers for example) have their own saluting: they form a V-sign with their leaves
and say "Live long and prosper"

You could have used plastic handles, out of respect...  Remember what hapenned to those cutting trees in lord of the rings....

Being a gardener, I'm well aware of my weeding out lots of lifeforms, and dismembering others. I have to tell myself it's all for a greater purpose.

Cutting down a tree with a girth over 20 cm is illegal here, you'll have to get a permit and promise to plant a new one.

Took a half-dozen trees out of the yard last year. One was dead, one was leaning toward the house, and the other four had so many dead, broken and warped branches they looked like krummholtz (twisted alpine trees).

I have a dream that someday trees might be self-propagating and flourish in the wild without human intervention.  Only then will our guilt be assuaged, and redemption for our misdeeds be complete.
