on: April 15, 2017, 10:16:32 PM
Is there a lite model like the Huntsman lite but without the saw?

Yeah I did see that one.  Was hoping there was something that didn't cost twice as much, lol.  I would imagine I could find some evil genius around here that could build me one for that price  :)

I've been eyeballing the Explorer but recently started thinking that I have more use for a little light than a mag glass.

You know those lights are pretty dim right?  Great for heading to the bathroom in the middle of the night or finding the keyhole on the front door when the porch light is out.

More recent lite led is much better - still hardly a torch, but does the job for me in my minor camping.

Thank you!

I still think both mag and inline Philips are more useful, since I never notice the Ti3 clipped to my pocket and its 10 times brighter on high than a E01.   8)

Yeah I wouldn't expect much from them.  I just don't see myself having any use at all for a mag glass.  My eyes are still pretty good  :D

OK, it only took me a month...

Blue Mountaineer Lite - old LED; almost new batteries.
Red Huntsman Lite - new LED; batteries as supplied with the knife (late last year).

Which is which? The order you list them in seems opposite the order in the pictures.

You're right. Look at the color of the scales.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

The stronger light is the new led... on the red huntsman.
