In the UK, you've got the Duke of Edinburgh Award Pocket Tool which is nearly identical to the Compact, but swaps the corkscrew for a Phillips.  But, it's got a blunt blade, which from my experience, really isn't all that bad.

Your very right about the DofE,but they're a fair bit over the £25 budget though.
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Another great (very) urban EDC is the Rambler or Manager. Add a lanyard, Photon, or something, and the blade becomes surprisingly comfortable to use. The key ring is in the "correct" end of the knife, as with the MiniChamp, but opposed to the Classic, which makes the lanyard work as sort of an extension to the handle. Opening the bottle opener while using the blade is another way of getting a more stable grip.

Outside the original parameters, but it punches way above its weight, is within budget, and is very people friendly.

I can vouch for the Rambler, its always with me when I go out, really good when paired with a pry tool.  :tu:
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

The Compact is always going to be my first choice as a glasses wearer. If not needed, a Tinker (or Tinker Small) is a great alternative.

Wasn't on the list, but a Super Tinker is a great option if you're willing to go to a third layer.
