snip Will I run out of questions?
I thought this thread was about motorcycles .....
Have a look at the sakwiki yeoman page... there is a link on the yeoman conspiracy which explains the BSA Yeoman and BSA Explorer confusion...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Like most every one else, if you pay them enough money the Scouts will let you put their logo on almost any thing. Which is why the Scout logo now shows up on decent knives like Victorinox and Buck, and on Chinese junk. Some other odds-and-ends:The Scout Huntsman is actually a Fieldmaster, with phillips sd.The official US Scout knives are Victorinox. At one time however you couldn't buy one at Philmont Scout Ranch. They had their own line of specially marked Wenger scout knives. At one time 3 or 4 Wengers were official US Scout knives. However they used model names different from the regular Wenger line (still haven't reliably figured out what is what.).While most US knives are Vics, most Canadian scout knives are (were) Wengers.World Scout knives were specially colored (purple) Wengers, but most national scouting organizations went with standard red Vics.

Here's my only Scout knife. A Wenger Evo S11 produced to mark 100 years of Scouting.(Image removed from quote.)
Well,my BSA Tinker arrived today. It is a 91mm,and much to my delight,it has a can key Phillips. Interestingly,it also has a half stop cap lifter. If I'm right that patern Phillips was discontinued in '85;and the half stop lifter was introduced in '85 too?Anyway, here's the little guy, after some TLC.
