Vietnamese Coffee
on: April 23, 2017, 04:06:43 PM
Has anybody tried vietnamese coffee with the phin filters? Tried it today and it's strong! I drink black coffee everyday and it seems not to work. I guess my body has already acclimated to the caffeine. But the trung nguyen was different. There's condensed milk added and it has this tiny phin filters for a slow drip and it's good for one cup. They're cute haha.

Is there an option to go without the milk? Stronger coffee always interests me.

I think you can! Even I prefer black coffee. But I tried adding condensed milk for the complete experience haha. Its pretty strong even with milk IMO.

Do you have any photos of how its made? How is it different from say a drip coffee maker or a percolator?

Sadly i didnt take a photo. It's a drip type. I'll attach some photos I grabbed from the internet.

It's a small filter good for one cup. The lid can also funtion as a basin for the filter. You flip it and put in on the underside. What i find interesting is that they use condensed milk not fresh milk. I guess the goal is to make it sweet and bitter at the same time.
