New here, but had to come somewhere to share my good fortune. I was on the fence between the Center Drive and another leatherman until visiting the recently reopened "Gander OUTDOORS" and noticed they had the tool with sheath for 59.99. I knew I had to bite now. Turns out it was supposed to be 99.99 and as they hurried to change the displayed price I calmly and quietly paid 59.99 as a grief stricken manager humbly instructed the cashier to subtract $40!!!

P.S. Huge shout out to the guys there for doing the right thing!!!

After a break from carrying this tool, I'm back for full time EDC, the one handed knife and slick action one handed pliers cannot be beat.

Gosh, sad sad day. I lost my Center Drive! I don't know where it is, but I suspect that it has been left behind up on Fulufjället fell. I.e. up in the Swedish mountains, pretty dang far from here. I hope a hiker finds it and gets some use out of it, because I aint getting mine back, that's for sure! (I went on a hike with a girl I'm dating, on the second day I guess I packed my things a bit too quick and missed it)

It's a shame, I really really liked it. I used it mainly for work as a do-it-all type of tool.

False alarm!
Like a complete dum-dum, I misplaced it after unpacking at home. I saw it today, just sitting on a shelf I never put any tools on, ever. I feel like a fool now, but this was a relief. I really do appeciate Tosh's offer though, he's a great guy. And yes indeed, this is what makes this place special, thanks everyone!

I want to buy a Centerdrive so bad for a work EDC but I use cutters all day and the idea of the carbide cutters shattering all time is keeping me away.  :bnghd:  Its driving me nuts lol.  I emailed Gerber to explain my frustration and ask if a fix was in the future.  Sadly, I'm not really counting on getting a response, let alone one with good news.  But a guy can hope!

I think I must be the only one that hasn't had any issues with a Center Drive.  Mine has worked like a charm since Day one!  I just used the bit driver tonight to remove a guard from a mower deck.
