It's nice to see the Gerbers aren't to uppity to slum it a bit with the Power Access!  :D

Even better to see some of the pics of everyone putting their Center-Drives to work!   :tu:

Sadly it wasn't it. It was a stainless steel funnel that should have come with a small fuel flask.

You want pics of a 59p mini funnel for a 4oz hip flask that I'm going to use in my fire kit as an emergency fuel bottle?

ok I'll take one when I get home

it was this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Steel-Funnel-Flasks-Flask/dp/B00EC7C86Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497605794&sr=8-1&keywords=hip+flask+funnel  and they are only 41p now  :twak:

edit: to go with this hip flask to use as a mini fuel bottle https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Whisky-Liquor-Alcohol-Pocket-x/dp/B00M9XEITK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1497606100&sr=8-3&keywords=4oz+hip+flask

I'm disappointed in Gerber as it appears the alignment issue is at the machining stage for the plier pivot and it is at an angle as when I pull them into line the cutters crash into each other. That one should definitely have been spotted at the factory and there is probably a bad batch out there with the same issue.

It is not just Gerber. Here is a photo of my OHT jaws, AFTER I sent them off to the have the jaws aligned so the cutters would not catch on eachother and the tips would meet equally. They half-butted the repair/return and I got them back only 20 percent better.
I am going to wait another few months before I send them back in again. This time I will request they change the plier altogether. The jaws only meet about 60 percent on light work. If I gently twist them, they sometimes lose all jaw alignment with quite a bit of play for an expensive tool.

Anyway, I am a center drive fan for sure. Mine came to me with no defects and the jaws do not shift a bit after a couple of months use. The cutters are not my favorite. Gerber should switch to thicker 154cm steel on their replacements to solve this well know problem in their replaceable cutter MTs. From a technical viewpoint, this ia not a difficult engineering issue.

First is a pic of the OHT jaw tips with poor jaw contact after a repair claim and the second is the CD with perfect alignment.
It is not the brand in my opinion, but moreso the QC. Maybe someone at the end of a long shift at inspection was just thinking about going home was the person in charge of the checklist. I am guilty of not giving my all at the end of a long work week once in awhile.  :o

Yep  :tu:  Everything appears to be lined up where it should be. I managed to bang the end of the pliers while flicking it though and took a bit of BO off it,  you can see it in the pic
