Hi from Australia
on: May 06, 2017, 02:26:37 PM
Hi, I'm from australia.
I've collected a few leatherman's over the years, beginning with the original wave (which I still like the best, but the spring bars that hold the pliers closed have snapped)
I've tried a few others like the skeletool, and new wave, but always find things lacking. Looking at modding some things now to get what i want exactly.

anyway, Hi! i figure I've been here enough reading, i should make an account.

Cheers.

Welcome, the OG Wave warranty should take care of your problem, just let Leatherman know it has sentimental value and you want it fixed.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Cheers everyone.

I would, but at some point I thought it a good idea to try and fix it myself and removed the rivet that holds the little spring bit in, so i guess that voids my warranty. I can be so stupid some times. I'll just have to live with it.

I think I'm about to add a Surge to my collection, and when I get around to it, mod it with the philips driver from a Supertool 300. Once I get the Surge, finding a Supertool at a price I can disassemble without feeling bad will be the next step

Welcome mate,  not sure where you send warranty in Australia, but in the uk my og wave got replaced as they don't have old parts and this was years ago,if your swapping the bit adapter for the St Phillips you could just swap them around  :salute:
